Your opinion on generic/oem accessories, etc.

hello, i was advised to look into replacing the battery on my Powerbook g4 model a1025. so i went on ebay and apparantly, my search wasn't to successful...the only results pulled up replacement batteries that were OEM/generic...etc.

i am not TOO familiar with the way OEM parts and accessories work...are they OKAY to use in general? or should i stay away?

whats your opinion?
