Environment:
MS Active Directory bound laptops with Yosemite 10.10.x

McAfee Management of Native Encryption client software to manage Filevault encryption.

Problem: laptops are frequently freezing during bootup, usually hanging at about 50% on the progress bar. This is occurring very frequently on each computer configured this way, and so far I've not found any solutions and I do not believe the McAfee software is at fault.

Anyone dealt with an issue like this?

Note, we have a few Mac laptops still running Mavericks, using the same software configuration, and those don't experience this issue.

Why do you think that McAfee is not the problem? What happens when you turn it off and boot normally? What have you tried?
