yosemite upgrade

My iMac is 2008 vintage OSX v.10.68 I am wary of upgrading, having read pros and cons.
Intel Core 2 Duo 4MB cache 2,25MB memory
Should I bite the bullet?

At some point, you're likely going to be forced by a lack of support.

Upgrading is always going to cause roadblocks and trials - this is inevitable. One major roadblock that you might run into is a lack of PPC app support. Are you using any really old programs by any chance?

You really haven't provided a reason why you want to upgrade. Why upgrade without a reason??
