I've tried many things to sync my bookmarks for Firefox between my iMac and the Macbook.
None of them work right. Many times I've had double bookmarks and had to clean them out manually (fun...NOT).
Yes I know Firefox has this built-in. Doesn't work correctly. Am currently using Xmarks.
Even tried a trick with about:config that used Dropbox. No joy.
So I was wondering...
Drag my bookmarks file to Dropbox.
Create a soft link in my Firefox profile folder to it.
Same thing on the laptop, soft link.
Granted it wouldn't work if Dropbox couldn't connect but, if that's the case then that means no internet, so no Firefox anyway.
Any ideas? Good idea? Bad idea?
