I currently have two internet connections. First, a Cable connection which goes to my router. Second, a USB connection which uses dial-up to connect. Now the second one have around half the speed of the first cable connection.

Now, If I am working on my macbook pro with the (cable) router connection on, and I connect the secondry (usb/dial-up) connection, the data transfer would be from the secondry connection i.e it does not use the router connection anymore for the internet.

How can I get both the connections work together ?

You cannot, TCP/IP does not work like that.
