how do I delete?
how do I delete?
That link helped me a ton with this "issue" before. Coming from a Windows/Linux world where memory is simply free, or used, the 4 different "types" of memory usage in OS X can be confusing
So Cached RAM is much like the Inactive RAM presented in OS X. Its not too much different.Linux Memory FAQ said:The biggest place it's being used is in the disk cache, which is currently over 290 MB. This is reported by top as "cached". Cached memory is essentially free, in that it can be replaced quickly if a running (or newly starting) program needs the memory.
