I'm a new mac user so i don't know much about how airport work ? At home i got a macbook and an imac, when i try t connect to my wireless it only work for one mac at a time, when i have internet on my macbook the imac lost the internet and the other way around. Is this because i need to buy an airport base station ?

Your Mac's Specs
uMBP 2.4/4GB/250GB; iPhone 3GS
No you do not need to.

Although highly unlikely, it can be the subnet your router is set to. The subnet might be allowing only for one client at a time. Check that the IP addresses are whenever you successfully connect with either machine.
