What one do I get ? Thanks !

Delighted to help; but what Mac do you have - Model, Year & Operating System (OS)? That info plus the request from Bob about which ports you have, will help us sort out things.

I have the iPhone 11 Pro, and I think that the iPhone 12 Pro Max has the same lead which connects to your phone, with a USB at the other end to attach to your Mac. Have you not got that lead? It's been the standard for a year or two.

Or maybe even some of the wireless connection methods depending on what the OP is needing or wanting to do...

The same one as you've been using for your iPhones. If this is your first iPhone, an Apple standard lightning to USB cable is all you need.

Unless the Mac only has USB-C connectors.

Thanks, I got the 21.5 Mac 2012 with the OS Catalina. I believe I need to get the lightning to USB connection.

Yes, that is correct. In fact, such a cable. should have come with the iPhone 12 - as in this screenshot from the Apple Site:

Ah, well, if you purchased the iPhone 12 through a third party then they might not have considered it necessary.

Also, to be fair, my link was to Apple UK where the cable was, as it showed, shipped with the iPhone 12.
That might not apply across the world, maybe?

Apple Canada also says the USB-C to Lightning cable is included.

At least if purchased directly from Apple Canada I assume. 😉

They also sell them separately:
USB-C to Lightning Cable (1 m) $25.00
USB-C to Lightning Cable (2 m) $45.00
mophie USB-C to Lightning Cable (1 m) $34.95

Or try Googling other sources... Monoprice.com comes to mind for good quality cables at a very reasonable price. 😉

Recheck the box. I think the cable is somewhat hidden under a piece of plastic in the box. This is not uncommon for some Apple products. IIRC my AirPods, for example, had the alternate ear in the very bottom of the box. The AirPods were above that with a divider between that could have been mistaken for the bottom of the box.

The iPhone 12 in the US ships with a Lightning to USB C cable and like Slydude stated it's under the plastic pull wrapped tight.

However, the OP can not use that cable since his 2012 21.5" iMac does not have USB C connections.

Thanks, I got the 21.5 Mac 2012 with the OS Catalina. I believe I need to get the lightning to USB connection.

As I stated in #5, he needs a lightning to USB cable. (USB A)

The folks at Verizon do not remove anything from the Apple box, by the way.

Thanks for clearing that up for me, Charlie. I didn't remember for sure whether the included cable was the right one for the OP or not. My main reason for writing that post was to remind folks to check the box.

It came to mind because I recently came close to throwing out the box for my AirPods. If I hadn't checked, I would have thrown out the extra tips.
