Windows Media Video?

I'm looking for a program to play WMV formatted videos on my Mac. I tired to download the OS version of Windows Media Player but it downloads in a .Stix format and there is no default program to open this type of file on my Mac currently.

So do I need to d/l a separate program to open the .stix file or is there another free program i can d/l that will play WMV files?

Awesome!! Now how do i set the VLC as the default player for the WMV files?

Highlight the file, hold CMD+i, and then under "Open With:", on the drop down menu, change it to VLC and then click, "Change All."

Now is there a way to view the files as thumbnails as well?

I like this program myself
You can always get windows media for mac if you want
you will need stuffit
windows media player

However i would just use flip or vlc rather than installing WMP.
