- Turn off your WiFi.
- Close the browser.
- Open the browser
- close all offending windows/tabs
- Turn WiFi back on.

Getting Rid of an Offending Window

pigoo3 sent me an answer to my question & I thank her/him for it. However, I do NOT know how to turn off the Wi-FI, given that a friend let's me ride on hers. Any help out there for me? I have a MAC OS X Snow Leopard 10.6.8.

Go up to the "Menu Bar" at the top of the Mac display window…click on the Airport Icon…choose "Turn WiFi Off".

Thanks, pigoo3! I had tried that before, but to no avail. Any other ideas? Anybody?

What is not working?

- Not able to turn off the WiFi?
- Not able to close this "Offending Window" problem?

I'm not entirely sure what you mean by the window re-appearing but if it's the case that the last page you were looking at is loading, it sounds like this is a simple case of a preference change. What browser are you using?

Thanks to all who tried to help me. It turns out that my homepage had changed to an Adobe Flash Players website. So, a friend showed me how to go back to my original homepage. Now, I know that I must look @ the very bottom of a window to see if my homepage has changed, if anything similar occurs in the future.

PSST! I'm certain that I'll have to ask for help again and I'm so-o- glad that I can count on all of you wonderful people.
