I'm assuming you are using Apple Mail, click on the button to the right of the send icon, then select Bcc Address Field.

hello techiesteve thank you for your reply.
Yes I am using Apple mail V8.1
The only icon to the right of the send icon is the attach icon.
At the far right there are the show photos and the stationery icons

There is most definitely a BCC in email in Yosemite. I use it all the time. I'm not at my computer right now it's in one of the menus in the menu bar.

Bcc

Thanks for the help.
I went to Mail - preferences - composing
I put a tick in Automatically and changed the selection from Cc to Bcc
Then in the menu under View the Bcc field was offered, so I checked the box for that
Now when I open a new mail form I get both Cc and Bcc
Problem SOLVED!!
Thanks to Mac Forum helpers.
Cheers,

Easiest way was open a new mail item, and to the right of the Send button is the Bcc etc button but you got it is the main thing.
