Why can't I open email attachments on computer after viewing in iphone?

Whenever I view (not even open) an attachment on my iphone or ipad I can't see the attachment in my mac mail on my computer. Anyone else have this problem or have suggestions on how to fix it?

It depends on the settings you have set on your pop service "assuming you are not using mobile me or iCloud." Personally I have my pop set up to delete mail after it is retrieved.
If my iPhone retrieves it first which it almost always dose then I cant see it on my computer. not sure the fix for this problem other the iCloud or mobile me
