I've tried at least a dozen over the years and I still stick with firefox. Safari is a great browser and fast as **** but I just can't seem to get used to it. FF used to have terrible OS X integration but they have improved it dramatically.

I'm in an endless cycle of firefox and safari. Firefox has a few features I like. And Safari has a few I like. Also Safari pops up faster, runs a little smoother and is a 'tad' faster.

Safari all the way, functional and easy to use. Plus Internet Explorer has too many security problems.

I actually like Safari best, except that it crashes constantly. Perhaps it's a problem with my MacBook but I am constantly getting the "Safari encountered a problem and had to close" errors, after it crashes and loses whatever tabs I had open.

Other times, when trying to move from one page to another, I get the whirligig thing forever, as if it's having trouble bring the page up (although I can usually navigate to the same page with no trouble on my PC), until I finally have to give up on it. Then, it won't let me navigate to a page that it can handle, or even close out the browser, requiring me to force quit Safari.

When this happens, the computer isn't locked up, as I can open other applications. I once let Safari work on it for at least a half hour and it wouldn't give an unable to navigate error or find the page; rather it just kept working on it.

In fact, I can open Opera, Firefox or Camino, and they will navigate to the same page without problem.

I have had similar problems in iPhoto but I see it way too often in Safari, probably because most of my computer time is web-based.

I like the look and feel of Safari but seldom use it anymore because it's unreliable.

i've gotten to where I absolutely hate using IE. So many errors and pages not loading right. Firefox has all my bookmarks, but it and Safari are relatively equal in speed in my opinion. For me, firefox is a little easier to use.

New to Macs here. On my desktop PC I use FireFox. I was thinking of downloading FF for the MacBook, but I like the way Safari is working so far. It opens instantly. Not able to customize it to much, but I like what I see so far.

The new safari seems to be very good. I initially didn't like it, but soon grew into it.

Same here, I wanted to move to Safari but I'm not a big fan of change so stuck with FF for a while, then started using Safari every now and again, until I finally gave FF the elbow for good.

FF takes up loads of memory on my MBP, lots more than Safari which is a lot quicker.

I'll go to Chrome when it's released if it's anywhere near as quick as it is on a PC.

I have had my Mac for just under a year and have had no problems with Safari. There is usually an update for it about every 2 or 3 months so it is always modernized. I haven't had too much experience with FF but I would recommend just sticking with Safari for now. If you run into some problems with it down the road, you can always switch than.

Safari by all means for me..and sometimes FireFox. I can't stand IE anymore, and I'm not that big on Google Chrome, but heard it's nice! I used FireFox on my desktop PC b/c IE sucked and Safari would be extremely buggy. But on my Vista laptop..Safari. And on my Mac, Safari. And on my iPod touch: Safari. :)

Safari of course. I have heard that Opera is the fastest, and it seems to be, so I use it sometimes. Safari is just natural though and certainly I like it best.

i just use whatever the os comes with.

That'd be IE when i had windows.
Firefox when i had ubuntu.
And now safari now i have a mac.

At the end of the day, they are all web browsers, and all do the same thing. I cba with changing and/or preferring one from another. They all worked just fine for me. (IE6 was a little rusty tho...)

The combination of Safari 4 and Glims brought me back to Safari. LONG time Camino user. Did Shiira and Firefox each for a while.

I still have FF 3.5 on here and use it somewhat frequently, but it's not my primary.

I primarily use OmniWeb and Firefox. I started using OmniWeb a couple of years ago, and registered the program back when it was shareware (it's now freeware). I use Firefox quite often, but still use OmniWeb the most.

Firefox is default, Safari opens up?

I have my default browser set to be Firefox but when I click on short cuts (I can't help it, I'm a new Windows convert) they open up in Safari. What am I doing wrong?
Thanks

I use firefox only because safari 4 has problems on my PC. Don't have a mac yet, but if I did it would be safari.

Used IE until it kept shutting off everytime I would try to use it. idk what the heck was wrong. I'd open it up and a few seconds later it would close. So now I just use Firefox. Although it goes awfully slow...but it's probably just my old, old computer.
