Over a dozen states have tax free weekends coming up in the next couple of months. These sales tax holidays give consumers the opportunity to purchase Back to School necessities, and sometimes Energy Star and disaster preparedness items, as well.
During last year's Florida tax free weekend, residents got five days to stock up before the first day of classes. In 2020, shoppers will only have three days to buy everything they need for the upcoming school year. Tax free-eligible items will include clothing and footwear, school supplies, and even select computer purchases.
[h=3]When Is the Next Florida Tax Free Weekend in 2020?[/h] In 2020, you can shop Florida's Back to School sales tax holiday from August 7 to August 9.

[h=3]What Items Aren't Eligible for Florida Tax Free Status?[/h] Similar to other states, Florida is requiring shoppers to pay taxes on accessories like jewelry and watches. Sports equipment, video game consoles, luggage, sunglasses, and other items aren't tax exempt, either.
