I just noticed this today, to the left of the time the round arrow thing just goes in circles all day. Could someone please tell me what it is, it never did this before. Thank you

The only time I've seen that spinning circle with the arrows was when iOS was downloading or installing an update. Have you recently installed an update to iOS?

Did the last update this last Monday, the phone seems to work fine. There was also a server update last week from Telus.

I would reboot the phone to see if the spinning circle goes away.

It's the sync symbol. Are you set up to sync wirelessly (if you go to iTunes > your iPhone > general, there's a checkbox at the bottom)? If so, that's what it is. It's also probably lingering because WiFi sync, although convenient, is very slow especially if you have a lot of content.
