I have a refurbed Ipod click wheel with color display. I've had it for about 1 1/2 months. I was thinking that the battery didn't last very long and the other day I was sure of it. I had fully charged it overnight. I went out around 8:30 am and returned at about 3pm and the battery was already showing the red low battery symbol. I didn't even have it on the whole time and even so I was only out 7 or 8 hours. So is that what I should expect? Or should I take it in? How would they evaluate that anyways?

TIA,

Well, a new one is supposed to last upto 15hours of playtime., so it might be time for a new battery.

What's the likelyhood of needing a new battery after only 1 1/2 months?

It's a refurb, so the battery isnt 1.5 months old. Its probably as old as the ipod is. I'm pretty sure Apple doesn't replace batteries on refurbs.

even if it's a refurb apple should still honor their 1 year warranty.
bring it in if you think it's not lasting as long as it should. apple needs to take responsibility for their crappy batteries.

No kidding! I just assumed that would be new! I'm so curious now to know... But I'll make an appointment.
