Not bad at all, thanks. Very busy working, mostly in the Yukon. Spend most of my free time listening to music, and thought I should share, so here I am again.

Between road trips at the moment, so I'm in my usual place. That is, with my head stuck between a pair of speakers. Current spin is the new version of Jeff Wayne's War Of The Worlds on CD. I have the original version on heavyweight vinyl, and was pleasantly surprised to find that the new version stands up well when compared to the original.

Man, I haven't heard that in... a loooooong time. A really great production. Deserves a nice set of headphones and a quiet, dark place to really enjoy it. Even better if you have the option to put it on a decent sound system and feel the bass shake your body (the way I first heard it). Truly awesome.

I got a chance to see Bob Seger live in Bossier City, LA last week. It's part of his farewell tour called "Roll Me Away". He was on the stage for two hours and if he had stayed longer the audience would have stayed with him. If you like his music check the tour dates. If he comes anywhere near you grab a ticket.

Part of the show included a tribute to Glen Frye Frey and a few other musical dignitaries who have passed relatively recently.

I used to think that "Turn The Page" was my favorite song of his but there are so many from which to choose.

Recently spent a bit of time tracking down Dream Theater's entire studio catalogue, as well as quite a number of live recordings. The latest, Distance Over Time, from the band is quite a performance, and I bought that a while ago but the last one to hit my collection was their second "rock opera" The Astonishing. It's quite a musical workout at two hours across 2 CDs, but definitely worth spending some time on.
