I noticed this in my preferences in Safari. It's not enabled and it does have an option to uninstall it.

It is malware you have picked up from somewhere. Go to the link and download Malwarevytes Ant-Malware, formerly, AdwareMedic, and run it in scan mode. Also do not download anything from Softonic or CNET who often specialise in this junk:-

Actually, it's pretty hot. It's still better than shoveling snow in the winter in NJ. I'll never go back.

Harry... the only cool spot in Arizona is Flagstaff and that's because it's around 7000' above sea level. I spent several years in the "Valley of the Sun" and that was enough for me!

Yes Charlie been to Flagstaff when i was a District Governor of Lions in 1994 with the Convention in Pheonix, as Flagstaff is where the founder Melvin jones was born would you believe. At that vstage of my life I was a beer drinker, and in July that was a drinkers climate enjoying Millers Genuine Draft!

At least it's cooler in Flagstaff. I live in the west valley where it gets very hot which I don't mind.

@hschaars Living in Sun City there's only one question left to answer: Which type of golf cart do you prefer Rolls Royce, Mercedes, or perhaps something different?

Visited the in-laws in Sun City West a few years ago. I was amazed how many golf carts in the area had been modded to resemble fancy cars.

listchack is back

I have used Malwarebytes, but my browser still searches through listchack, yet there is no adware caught by scanning.

I have tried this method:

Go to folder

~/Library/LaunchAgents

Go to folder

~/Library/Application Support

But nothing shows up (something.download.plist, etc. should show up)

I can only think of deleting my browser, but I think that wouldn't help. Any advice?

What does that mean? What version of OS X? What browser? Is malwarebytes up to date? Have you tried AdBlock, or Ghostery, or Privacy Badger?

To MacInWin:

What does that mean?

I did what Linc Davis suggested:

https://discussions.apple.com/thread/7166059?start=0&tstart=0

What version of OS X?

El Capitan

What browser?

Both Safari and Firefox.

Is malwarebytes up to date?

Yes...

Have you tried AdBlock

I have it installed, but it says disabled. It's version 2.7.3. I tried to get more information about this, and it took me to this:

https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/add-on-signing-in-firefox?as=u&utm_source=inproduct

I would prefer to stick to Firefox. I checked and got ABP working on Safari, whilst before it was displaying searching through Geneio or something. I have yet to check if it's still doing that, behind the search. I haven't enabled seeing the full URL on searches... will check how to. OK, it looks like Safari works. Even though it's not my default browser...

or Ghostery, or Privacy Badger?

Haven't tried those. Will have a go.

OK, I've got Ghostery and Privacy Badger working. See if it gets the tracker.

Edit: no, they don't work. Still going through listchack.com for searches. Do I have to dump my entire session history, cache, etc? If so, I've got a lot typing, copying and pasting to do. I keep a lot of tabs.

Edit: I've gone through with a fine tooth comb every history entry, etc. Maybe it will work now. Nope...

OK, I was thinking maybe it was the default home page... nope. Should I delete the browser?
