I've played Counter Strike forever and a little Team Fortress. I just got Left 4 Dead last week and have been playing it like crazy. The versus mode is a lot of fun if you can find decent people to play with.

I was going to get it for PC when it was meant to be on Live, but then it was released under Steam and... well, I hate Steam, it's annoying, but if it's ever released for Mac i'll probably get it.

And when is UT3 and GoW coming to Mac? Epic Games confirmed they were making it for Mac sometime in 2007; it was meant to be released early 2008 apparently :p. So anyone got any news on it?

I love DotA by Basshunter (one of my favourite trance songs) but I lol'd so hard when I watched the music video and discovered it was about Warcraft :p.

Yeah it's basically a first person action type game. There are some shooter elements involved, but the game really tries to stay away from the "armed" combat scenarios. But when you DO need to fight and use combat, the moves and possibilities are endless - i.e: wall run jump and kick to the head to disarm your enemy, sliding kick to the jewels, stand up, slow time (yes you can in fact slow time making it just a bit cooler), and use some crazy kung fu moves to disarm the enemy!! Plus when you use the weapons that you get from the cops, you only have the rounds that are left in the clip, so you gotta have a good shot if using the weapons!!!

Although a lot of the game is running around in first person, there is a huge strategy element to it!!! Finding the best, safest, most efficient, and quickest ways to get to where you need to be while avoiding your enemies. The story line is pretty cool too i find.

It's rather short - only 9 "chapters", but it's still a pretty neat game, addictive too!!! Definitely worth checking out, I guarantee you won't find anything else like it.

I have the 80GB PS3 but I don't have highspeed internet I have Dial up. I do bring my PS3 to my friends houses and my cousins house often so I am wondering if its worth downloading home at someone else house since most of the time I'm there I play co op and stuff like GHWT or RB2 so know one gets bored or is left out.

i would say that it's not worth it until you have your own broadband. home isn't exactly that exciting for spectators.

Grand Theft Auto IV: All the cussing has left me to not play this game since most of the time my little brother is around and I don't want him to hear all of that.

that's hillarious. he can watch lots of ultraviolence in all of the other games you mentioned, but some cursing is where the line is drawn.

sweet - let me know what you think. :)

been playing little big planet a lot still.

downloaded the new PS3 version of Lumines yesterday. it's loads of fun. right up there with meteos for the best pure puzzler of the last few years.

I have been playing guitar hero world tour and rock band 2 lately and I must say they are both amazing games. But I was kind of disappointed with rock band 2 because there isn't much of a difference from rock band 1.

nintendo is doing surprisingly well for their age - where most companies have not had much success past a couple consoles (Sony seems ready to buck the trend though), nintendo has been solid for years. and i believe they're outselling everything else worldwide at this point, not only with the wii, but the DS as well.

i think the key was keeping to thier niche - while most companies now seem to just be honing the standard "video game machine" and adding bits here and there, nintendo has regularly taken risks that have really panned out for them in most cases. the DS and the wii are both incredible 'gaming' machines despite their obvious weaknesses when it comes to pure hardware power.

and while M$ and sony try to convince more and more people that they need a game machine that does everything, nintendo knows we want to have fun.

I didn't say Nitendo wasn't doing good I'm just saying there past there glory days and I realize of all the companies from the late 80s and early 90s Nitendo has done the best financially. Sega doesn't make consoles any more sonic is far past his prime Atari is only making games nowadays as well and I can't think of any good ones in the last 10 years. So I'm proud of Nitendo for lasting as long as they have and innovating the gaming world. There just not as good as they use to be 15 - 20 years ago
