Hello all,

New mac user here. After I download programs, .dmg files are found on my desktop. What to do I do with them? Do I drag them to the applications folder? After that, can I delete them from my desktop?

open the file, drag the program to Applications and eject the DMG drive after you're done. Once everything is installed just delete it.

So when I open mozilla on my computer, there shouldn't be a mozilla folder that materializes on my desktop, correct?

I've had my macbook for probably 3-4months now and I'd have ebayed the thing again if it wasn't for this forum.

As a recent mac newbie, the most important thing to remember when using it is "yes it's that simple".
When ever I do something like install a new program or delete one, I'm left thinking "that can't be it. There must be more to do". But there isn't. No registry to clean, no recycle bin to empty, no install files to find and delete as well as folders and other dependancies.
Drag it to the trash and your done.

Download a .dmg, open and drag into apps folder and your done.

Thats the hardest thing I've had to get my head around. It's tooo simple!!
