Wanted: Office for Mac

I'm not sure what i'm about to ask is possible(or legal) but i'll ask anyway. I'm looking to get a copy of Word or Office for my new iBook, doing some reading on this forum i've discovered that an educational version comes with 3 licences, this is where my plan begins.
Does anyone own a copy with spare licences which i could load onto my mac in exchange for some sort of payment. I haven't quite worked out the technicalities yet but does anyone think this is a good idea in theory?
Any suggestions on ways of getting Office for Mac on the cheap but keeping it legal would be welcomed.

Check and see if M$ has an education discount. Some schools have site licenses. You can purchase a copy of the software from the school at a reduced price. But the license is only valid when you are in school.

And no the educational version only has one license. And rman.. are you sure about the license only being valid when you are in school? I continue to use software that either I purchased while I was in school, or my wife purchased when she was in school, etc etc.. I thought it was basically there for you to purchase initially and then that's how they get you.. then you pay for upgrades at the regular price..?

That is the gray/grey area. I purchase a copy of M$ office from CSULB for $20. The license stated that is was for use while the student is in school. The software still works. Now that my wife is out of school, I need to get a valid license. Now on the other hand if my wife returns to CSULB I would be okay.

But since we are all not in the business of turning people in, then the licenses we have for our "educational" versions of software are valid as we aren't parading around telling everyone what we are using! Hint, Hint! Wink, wink!

I think you might have a special license for Office, because the one that I have cost a whole lot more than that, was still educational and didn't mention anything at all about the license dying as soon as the person that purchased it stopped going to school. For the price you paid.. I could definitely see that type of license.. wow $20.. nice! I think I paid over $200 for my office.
