Wake from Synergy

Ok, I installed Synergy, and I am loving it. Currently using it on dual 19"s with linux (ubuntu)..

Here's the dilemma...

I run the MBP with the lid closed and use the external LCD. By habit, I sleep the MBP when I am not using it for a couple of hours. Now the MBP is the client in Synergy, therefore there is no keyboard or mouse attached to it. How can I wake it up easily?

Also, has anyone had problems running Synergy in mac games (BF2142..)..?

I'm not sure about this, but does the remote work? On my iMac, I just press the remote button and it wakes to life. Also, plugging/unplugging USB devices wakes up a machine...

Ooh, the remote is a great idea!! Since it is always sitting next to my MBP anyway. I also have an apple wireless mouse and keyboard, but I want to get it off my desk. I know bluetooth devices wake it up, but it's a pain if I turn bluetooth off. I'll give it a shot mate..
