Ok. So when I install things...how do I know where they install to. When I used Windows, most installations had "browse" buttons that would let me install tow herever I want to. However, on OSX, when I install it only gives me the choice of installing to me "harddrive."

Well, right now I need to uninstall some things, however I have no idea where they were installed to. Why doesn't the install window tell me where the file is being saved to? And how can I find out?

burstandbloom,

Just use Spotlight and put in the name of the installation to find out where it is. If it's an application, look in the "Applications" folder, a utility, the "Applications/Utilities" folder.

When you find the installation, check to see if there is an uninstaller with it, then select and it will uninstall it all...

Download and install App Trap and when you uninstall something without an uninstaller, it will clean up all the extra files that might be with it. Get it here:
