I use:

Onyx -- it's free, easy to use and does a great job (similar to mac janitor) <free>
Shapeshifter - Let's you change the themes (menubar, menus etc)
Windowshade X - Helps keep minimized windows identifiable. (smart minimize)
Tiger Launch - simple application launcher that lives in the menubar. (I think its cool!!) <free>
wClock - small clock appl that lets you put the words for the date in the menubar by the time. <free>
Mail.appetizer - free little utility that you use with Mail.app that lets you preview your incoming e-mail without having to maximize Mail to read the e-mail (make sense?) <free>

I have more but I'll have to wait until I get home and can look up the correct names for them.
