Hi there, this is my first post here, so I would appreciate any help.
I just finished transferring from a Mac mini (running snow leopard 10.6.3) to an iMac with 10.9.5, I couldn't use the Migration assistant, because of the software difference, so I did it with Time machine, but for some reason (most likely I did something wrong ) all the users I use to have in the mac mini now they are gone, I can get it to show up in the new iMac, do I have to do it manually? or is any step that I have missed?
Thanks a lot.

Welcome to the Mac Forums.

Did you create a new account on the iMac before you used Time Machine to do the migration? If you did, that's the reason why all your user accounts are not visible.

In fact, I did a Migration Assistant from 10.6.8 to 10.10 the other day. And frequently for clients. Of course it works.

Hi Chas_m thanks for your answer, unfortunately I don't see how that can help me.

It sounds like that's what happened otherwise the accounts you had on the old machine would have migrated and been visible. Look for a folder on the new machine with your old user name. You may find that the missing accounts have been placed there. Otherwise, at this point in time it may be better to re-create the accounts on the new machine.

Hi again Chscag, I couldn't find the folder, so I created new users, thanks a lot for the help.
