Use Contacts to dial out onto a VOIP line.

I have RCN VOIP i.e. the telephone service enters a cable modem and exits out as a landline phone. That same modem provides internet access.

Is there a way that I can use my Mac's Contacts to dial out a number i.e. click on a number in my Contacts, and the Mac will access the line and then dial out that number.
