Everytime I rename my USB stick to whatever name, it looks fine (for example, I name it "Stick"), but the next time I plug it into my Macbook it comes up as "STICK" - in capital letters. It doesn't really matter, but I was just wondering why this happens? And can it be changed so it doesn't happen? Cheers.

This happens to me as well. My guess is that it's related to the filesystem. Flash drives typically come formatted as FAT32, which is very old and maybe doesn't support lowercase letters in the volume name.
