USB Audio CODEC

Mac Pro OS HS 10.13.5
I have a Mac Pro and my current OS is High Sierra 10.13.5. I just purchased a Audio Technica LP1240 USB Pro DJ Turntable using Audacity. The system does not recognize any input via USB Audio CODEC. I've tried different USB cables and different USB ports...no signal. Is there any fix, workaround or driver update to repair this issue?

Go to the Apple menu in the upper left of the screen and choose About This Mac. In the next screen that appears click System Report. Next choose USB and see if the turntable appears in the list that appears? Also, Have you tried a different USB port? Unplug the USB cable from the port you had the turntable plugged in to. Now try a different device in the same port and see if the port works.

BTW does that turntable have a power on switch?
