Hello

I am interested in upgrading the RAM on my Powerbook G4. I'd like to install a sufficient amount so that I can install and run OS 10.5.8 smoothly. Any advice on amount? Brands? Where to purchase?

Thanks
Ethan

What are the specs on your Powerbook G4? There are lots of different Powerbook G4 models...and it does make a difference.

Most important...what is the processor speed of your Powerbook G4? The display size may help as well.

You should have at least 1 Gig RAM on 10.5.8 for it to run smoothly but you might as well max out the RAM on your PowerBook if you are planning on keep it longer.

As cheap as PC2700 is these days, I can think of absolutely no reason not to max out the RAM on that older model.
