upgrade to Yosemite, text watermark issue

Hello,

I just upgraded to Yosemite. I am trying to annotate images in iPhoto, as I always do, and fade the text so it is a watermark. I cannot find how to do this because there is no 'show fonts' drop down option as before the upgrade. I usually just highlight the text and type in the opacity.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
