Did you test with a new user account on the new Mac?
I have not, but I have no idea how to do that and still have access.

I suggested a new user account to see if the new Mac would crash as often. If it doesn't crash then it is something to do with your user account.

Here's the procedure to add user accounts on macOS.

Thanks, I wasn't sure what you meant. I thought you meant to start from scratch with a new account on this computer. I already have another account on this computer for my wife. The one main thing I'm trying to do is salvage my Photos Library but I have no access to that from the other account.

Like I explained on another thread, this computer will be visiting the Genius Bar, hopefully tomorrow. If they can't resolve it, I'll export the 25,000 pictures individually (I thought it was originally 10K) to a remote drive and discard the computer. I'm well aware how tedious that will be, but my choices are limited. This computer has been more frustrating and given me more anxiety than I've ever experienced since my original Tandy machine running Windows 3.1 and trying get OS/2 to run on it.

I do appreciate your help.

The only thing I need to salvage is my Photos library, but I'm unable to do that.
Did you test with a new user account on the new Mac?

Or try booting up using Safe Boot Mode, I cannot recall if it was suggested or used previously.

Maybe it would allow the salvage and saving of your Photo library.

If you log into the Mac with your wife's account, can that account "see" your user account? I know she can't open, yet. We'll cross that bridge in a minute.

Genius Bar notes:

1.) Computer runs fine

2.) Turn computer off occasionally

3.) Upgrade to Monterey.
