RUNNING 10.7.5
4GM MEMORY, i5 PROCESSOR.

i BOUGHT THIS DRIVE.

samsung/seagate 500gb HDD, SATA 2.5 internal drive.

Took care when placing in computer, running through recovery mode now and it's not finding it when it asks me to choose a drive to install 10.7.5...

Any ideas what the problem could be??

I really want to get this done as it's driving me round in circles.

Any suggestions?

Thanks.

Did you ever format the new drive with Disk Utility to be used by your computer?

I'm assuming you're using internet recovery from Apple. If the drive is not seen, it's possible the SATA cable that connects the drive to the logic board may be defective. This is a fairly common problem with the older MacBook Pro machines. Even if the drive is not formatted or partitioned, it should still be seen.
