I don't know if it is the adds or something else, but Safari hangs every time I try and load a page here. I have to hit the stop button just to see anything.

Any clues? :Grimmace:

It's an issue with the ad server on the site. We know about it and are working on a replacement which should happen in the near future.

This must be what I'm encountering, except it doesn't happen all the time. But it has been happening more often and the "server not responding" message is getting really old. My question, why is this occurring on Mac and not on Dell?

edit: Scratch the Dell question ~ M-F stopped loading in IE, too! Now on Thinkpad, in Firefox the tab says "trouble loading site in Safari 2.0.4"??

It did it here late last night on both a PC Laptop and Mac here. It's still the ad server.

I am not sure what the exact cause of your problem is, but one thing you could first try to empty the cache and even more last resort, Reset Safari. Since other browsers are not having that issue, it's worth a try.

Resetting will kill any saved info. Also you might locate the safari.plist and delete that.

The issues here at Mac Forums with the Ad servers do it on everything in the house, both PC and Mac when it does happen.

Oh, most honorable moderators, any idea when the "near future replacement" will rescue me?? I'm experiencing hanging pages here more often than I was two weeks ago.

No, unfortunately, this is an iNet fix so I'm not sure what the latest update is other than this summer most likely.

It did it to me today both in Firefox and Safari and Opera even for say 10 minutes or so.

It's the Ad servers like was stated previously. They will figure it out.
