We'd be happy to help you but we need more information. "Can't open Finder" doesn't tell us much.

If you can't see what is happening on our screens, chances are we can't see what is happening on yours.

Take the time to tell us what System you are running and exactly what happens, and when.

Nobody can fix anything if you don't explain "it".

Well, I cannot answer the terse question posed by the OP; but just a general observation, the response above further 'salts the wound' - for a poster asking for 'free' help on this, and many other forums, the common courtesy and appropriate etiquette is to provide enough information for responders to offer reasoned and hopefully helpful responses.

For myself, and I'm sure for many others, some of my posts may take me 15-20 mins to compose (and I use to be a medical writer) - a poster opening a thread w/ a problem should understand and respect the free advice being given and compose an opening statement that makes sense and provides enough detail so that a well thought out response can be offered. Just my 2 cents - Dave :)

Forgive my stating the bleedin' obvious. Just that it isn't bleedin' obvious to the O.P.

I do support on a particular Application forum, which shall remain nameless, but we get some doozies. One just said "Help!"

I understand what is going on in the heads of the posters. Much the same as goes on in the heads of teenagers when they can't move themselves to do anything for themselves. They just lie there and yell "Mum !!!"

To add to the chorus, I don't understand "can't open Finder". If that is the case, what is on the screen?
