Do you Brits celebrate Halloween or is it just we Americanos who are infatuated with it?

Grown to be quite a big event in recent years - pumpkins, outfits etc. Kids do 'trick or treat' around houses on Halloween but there's an unwritten rule that they are only welcome if there's some sort of Halloween symbol in the window. I used to carve a pumpkin with my goddaughter but she's 15 now and can do it herself or, probably, not bother. Pic is from 2012. When I was a kid there were no pumpkins and a lantern had to be hacked out of a swede (rutabaga, I think, in the US) - very hard work!
