How much space should be required to perform the backups? I just bought a Mac Mini, the smaller one with the 80gb drive, I stuck a 750gb and a 200gb drive in an external enclosure for extra storage. The 750gb for movies and such, and the 200gb(for now) for Time Machine. As far as I know its only supposed to be backing up the main drive, not the 750gb too, but it keeps telling me that it needs well over 200gb to perform the backup? Am I missing something here?

In the Time Machine preferences there is an option to exclude folders - see if the 750GB shows up, and if so, exclude it.
