I bought a new Desktop Mac (Yosemite) in February - transferred everything from my old Mavericks one using Time Machine.
I now can only scroll back to TM files as far as February. However, there are two lists in the Finder - one Backup and one Backup 2. This latter one contains all the data from 2008 till the date of installing the new computer. I still have access to these older files. However, yesterday, there was a mix-up so when looking for a recent file, by scrolling back, only the old files were available. I managed to restart and things came back into order. But I'm concerned about this matter and would like to have a fix to guard from it happening again.
