Time Machine not connecting to NAS

Hi there,
I have been using my D-link DNS-325 as target for my backups through TimeMachine with, albeit slow, success. After upgrade to Yosemite the TimeMachine functionality is not able to connect to the NAS anymore. I am prompted for user name and password and once provided, I keep getting the "OSS Error 2". I cannot seem to crack this one. Any thoughts?

I have found this setup instructions that work well. Its in German (dont speak or read a word ) but pictures worth ...... works
