Time Machine Exclusions

I have SnowLeopard on MacHD and cloned to Boot2. I upgraded Boot2 to Mavericks, tested, upgraded SW. Now need TM to Backup Boot2 but it Backs up MacHD. I do not see MacHD in the exclusion list.The roles of my boot drives have reversed.
Is there a way to exclude the delivered MacHD drive?

Ok, thanks but the solution was first add the MACHD drive to the sidebar in finders. I had removed it to reduce confusion as I tested Mavericks. After adding it to finders sidebar it showed up when I pressed the + sign in TM exclusion list.
Now was this really the solution or did I overlook it when trying to add to the exclusion list I don't know. I'm not going to redo the steps to prove it. All is working now as I want.
