Hello. I'm on my MacBook Pro--for no reason a folder called ACCD is there. Contents are things like: Audio_MIDI.txt, codesign.txt,CrashReporter, description.txt, DiagnosticReports, DirectorySErvice,Sisk information, etchosts.txt...
AND MANY MORE...

I have NO idea what these things are. I threw the file in garbage but garbage told me can not throw out cause ACCD is in use. So there it sits on my desktop (for months now).

I'm wondering if I can throw this out or if not if you could tell me where I could file this file so I don't have it on my desktop?

Thank you in advance.

This is a diagnostic report created by the Apple bug reporting software. You either haven't sent it to Apple yet, or you created it by accident. The reason you can't get rid of it is because the bug-reporting software is waiting for you to finish sending the report.

Try this: start up with the SHIFT key held down until you see the login screen and SAFE MODE in red. Then you should be able to put it in the trash and empty the trash (if you're not going to ever send the report).

Now restart as normal.

When I first saw the thread title I thought it said ACDSee as in the photo application that is popular on windows systems. :D

Thanks for that Chas as many will see that folder and probably not know what it is.
