macpronohd, if you get this Mac Pro I might suggest OWC (macsales.com) for your memory sticks, I bought my Mac Pro from B&H and OWC bought the memory sticks that came with unit and OWC beat Apple and Crucial on the price. If you have never owned a Mac OWC has installation videos that cover just about every aspect of the Mac installs. Best of luck with the $90 Mac Pro! The Memory sticks you need for this Mac are DDR3 ECC 1066MHz PC3-8500. If your Mac is a 2008 then here are the specs for that Mac copied from OWC's site800MHz ECC Mac Pro Memory Information
8 Total Slots, 64GB Supported
Must Upgrade using Matched Pairs
DDR2 240 Pin Fully-Buffered DIMM
72 Bit (64 bit + 8 bit ECC)
Mac Pro Specific Heatsink on Module
Four or More FB-DIMMs installed provides for best performance
FB DIMM technology takes advantage of multiple channel access. Apple recommends the use of 4 or more modules to take advantage of this 256-Bit Wide memory architecture. Modules must be installed in pairs, each module is 64 Bits Wide + 8 Bits for Error Correction (ECC). All of my post might be after the fact but let me suggest one more thing if you buy the Apple Cinema monitor you are going to pay too much for a monitor, check out a HDTV, they work just as good for monitors and are a lot cheaper.
