how do i apply a theme to my macbook?

System prefernces. Desktop and screen saver. Choose a theme.

I get some from sites such as www.interfacelift.com/wallpaper Many to choose from and just dowload them. Save them to a folder such as Mac Wallpapers and chose whichever you want to display. You can right click on the desktop and selecting cange background.

but i dont want just to change the wallpaper, i wanto to change all the enviroment...

How stable is shapeshifter??
I'd really like to buy it but I get alittle nervous customizing my mac. I had a bad experience with a Candybar trial.

I have had shapeshifter for months now and never had an issue with it.. its a great program in my opinion.. I like to mess with my themes every week or so, I get tired of the same old thing..

Shapeshifter is VERY safe since it doesn not mess with your system files in any way. Once you turn off SS, it's basically uninstalled. You dont have to 'restore' aqua like those other theme switchers (which overwrite system files).

Thanks for the input! Great, now I'm tempted to buy it I had downloaded the trial but never used it so now when I download it, it says my demo is expired.

hey hey hey i use the pink tiger one too!!! awesome. its the only one ive found that i like My itunes doesnt change neither does iphoto. pooo

There might be a free option. But it'll cost you more than Unsanity's product.

Yeah! I saw that on the desktop thread I think. Great minds I don't think I'll ever change it unless another suitably girlie theme crops up!

Shapeshifter was 3rd app I installed on mine. Have a couple of unsanity's products and have no issues with them at all. Shapeshifter is pretty much the answer you'll get from any Mac forum.

Shapeshifter works great. Got mine 2 months ago and it has not gave me any problems.
