This guy is not only an idiot, but he repeats himself a lot.

I've read at least 4 times that "Microsoft controls majority of the computer world, Apple has 5% or less"

Man I hate stupid people. I mean uhh.. "Uneducated people."

Wat? his "reasons against a macbook" are completely false...
http://www.freewebs.com/macssuck/whywindowsovermac.htm

8. No simple battery release. To get the battery out you’ll need to push a large coin into a hole next to the battery.
dude...use ur finger nail...

10. You need $5,000 big ones for it.
...what? my macbook only cost 1300...the top-of-the-line MBP is still $2000 away from making that statement true...

12. It’s genuinely slow. Slower than G4 laptops, even with maximum RAM.
uhh....no.

13. The screws are completely stripped smooth and so they fall out too easily. And since there are only three, one screw falling out is going to leave your laptop worse off than a PC laptop which usually have more.
i count four screws on my macbook. 1,2,3,4.

and this joke just pisssed me off...
Q. Why are Mac users so stupid?
A. When God was giving out brains they thought they were milkshakes and each asked for a thick one.

With regard to the author of the web site: Some people just don't get it do they. If I were a rich man I'd offer a bounty for hacking that site.

I am not for sure but this guy may be the stupidest person alive. I read just a bit on his Linux rant and the first thing he claims is that Novell wrote Linux and that Open Source is dangerous. We should hunt this person down and stop him before he reproduces. Maybe he is Steve Balmer's bast*** kid or something. For those that don't know, Linux and OS X are cousins and OS X's roots are in open source. I am of the opinion that OS X is a good example of what Linux/Unix can be with money and resources behind it.

people stay with Macs because they're scared of trying new things?

...

also, on another page of the site he uses Sad Mac as an example of a Mac crashing...i believe they dropped Sad Mac in 10.3

also he says that setting up a mac for the internet takes forever. Remember that old Mac ad? 1) plug in 2) get connected 3) there's no step 3!

he also says that you can only make movies with a superdrive which he says costs alot. Most macs have SuperDrives...

This guy just makes me mad. Especially on his Linux bit.

Quote from site: "Novell - the people who wrote Linux"

***? Linus Trovolds wrote the Linux kernel, not Novell. And I think even Red Hat came around way before Novell did. He even goes on to say Linux distros make it hard to dual boot an OS. Idiot. This guy has no arguments that are convincing even a little bit. I wish I could find his email.

Even more entertaining than the site are the comments. I love how spun up people get.

In the end after careful examination, I'd have to say its not FUD, its simply tasteless humor, made to tweak brittle fanatics.

They know that we get so sick of being attacked with flat out lies that stuff like this is written just to see how many rants he can get in the guestbook. :/

Did you notice most of the links were to more free pages with a very similar writing style? The links that still worked anyway.

Or the fact that most of the anti mac posts are clumped together at the beginning? And also have some similarities, like the tendency to not capitalize "I"?

Yeah, this was just an attempt to troll for freakouts. I don't believe for a moment even he believes this.

Still mildly funny though.

Its the web page equivalent of a Usenet troll.

I think someone on this forum said it best... (and I'm paraphrasing). "GM is the largest car company in the world. That must mean that they make the best cars in the world, right?"

Seriously, if you can't spell, can't use appropriate punctuation and can't formulate a sentence that doesn't run-on, your opinion is moot.

All opinions are moot, by definition.

The site uses so many stretched and carefully selected statistics, that it almost seems like a parody of some sort... like a Steven Colbert version of a MS supporter.

agreed...i dont think someone could actually hate a computer company enough to devote days to making a website protesting it...

I've had a 1982 Corvette, 1967 SS Camaro, and a 2002 Firebird. They are amazing cars. Not even compairable to those crappy tin cans that asian manufacturers produce.

Cars are obviously different things to different people. In the context of this thread, just because GM sells more cars than Honda, doesn't mean that GM makes a better car just as Microsoft selling more copies of Windows doesn't mean that it's a better OS than Mac OS X.

exactly cwa, and limited experience, or narrow focus of use (such as primarily rear wheel drive sports cars), don't help give a lot of perspective.

and Anthony, if you think asian cars are crappy tin cans... i'd say get your head out of 1975. ;) it just doesn't work that way anymore.
