I use a DVD handycam to capture videos. The cheapest version of which has no connectivity to USB or Firewire. So I convert the .vob files from the disk to DV using MPEG Streamclip to make a disk image. Then I import it into iMovie 6 and iDVD.
Couple questions:
1) Is there any way to break the video down into smaller segments than the size alloted by Streamclip? It ended up being about 9minutes per segment.
2)When all is said and done, and the disk is burned and playing on a set top player, when there is camera movement, there is a squiggly outline that appears around the subjects. I don't know anything about the guts of audio and video ie; frames per sec, demuxing, interlacing and other terms I have seen around here. Is there something I can do to prevent this outline?
3) Is there one piece of software between the price of $150 - free that will allow me to convert VOB, edit, and burn. This conversion and importing takes a long time.
Thanks
Wes
