2020 27" i9 5K nano iMac, 1TB(partitioned) SSD, GB, macOS 15.3.1 Sequoia
found a 1TB, WD Blue on Amazon for $79.00CAN free shipping, vs. $119.99USD + shipping from OWC. Enough of a difference to make a difference. The install will be done at a shop.

Well, I must say it's pretty hard to argue against that price, but for that price maybe you should be buying two of them. There should be room and a connection provision available in your 2011 iMac to install and use them both or use one as a backup. ;-)

It's too bad that the Apple designers didn't include a trap door at the back for installing or replacing a hard drive to make doing so so much easier. What they ended up doing was pretty stupid if you think about it, and could have easily been so much better.

Anyway, good luck with your new solid-state drive. I'm sure you will appreciate it.
