Spacing between paras in Pages

I had a very long document (work in progress) in Word for Mac 2004 that I've converted to Pages on my new MBP (OS 10.10.2).

The font was Aerial 11 pt and to save space, I had manually set the inter-para spacing to 8 pt; there are very many paras in this text.

Now that this document has been converted to Pages, the entire spacing has gone to 11 pt throughout and I've lost the 8 pt inter-paragraph spacing. The Aerial font is fine, of course.

Of course, I can slog through the document and manually change all the 11 pt inter-paragraph spaces to 8 pt but I'm wondering whether there is any way to get Pages to do this for me.

I don't know if this will work the same way as it does for Word... but highlight the entire document (command + a) and then set the inter paragraph spacing to 8 point. I'm not sure if it will apply to the entire document or not.

In fact, I think that I called 'wolf' too soon regarding my inter-para spacing!

In the Pages version, when I look at the text inside a paragraph, it is all 11 pt as before. And when I go to the inter-para spacing it also shows up as 11 pt.

But, when I DOUBLE CLICK on the inter-para space, it comes up as 8 pt, as was the case with the old Word version.

So it seems that all is well. Phew - I really didn't fancy having to manually change all those inter-para spaces!
