Out of curiosity, does anyone know of a program for OS X that can monitor sound input levels, then play a sound file once they reach a certain volume?
I ask because it would be helpful in the classroom. If a computer could be set to play a little sound whenever volume reached a certain level (during silent writing times, for example), the feedback might help students self-regulate a bit more effectively.
