software question

alot of my mac-owning friends seem to have copies of Creative Suite on their Macs (mostly iMac and Powerbooks), and they said they could load it on tomy machine when I got one. So, I just bought a Macbook and one of my mac geek friends has now said i would not be able to get a copy of this soiftware due to the Intel chip. is this the case?

First what you're contemplating is illegal.

Second your friend is not correct although PS in CS2 runs under Rosetta and losses some speed on the Intel macs. But great news...CS3 is out and has been rewritten in Universal which will run great on the Intel machines and you can BUY it.
