After Snow Leopard's release I heard far more doom and gloom reviews of apps and such that quit working than positive ones so I've just avoided it. Is this still the case or have the issues been resolved and I can make the upgrade without worries?

You will always hear from the few Doom and Gloom Merchants but you will not hear from the 1000s who have had a good experience. Just depends if u want the new features, smaller demand on storage and quicker loading.

It really isnt as bad as you have been hearing. As i stated above i havnt had any issues what so ever, until today's iTunes 9.0.3 update, but that all comes down to a 3rd party Roxio .....
No biggie .....
For the price it is worth it....
