Hello

Help needed please.

since installing Lion my mac has taken ages to boot up and when it does it never finds the wireless network until I restart.

Any ideas?

Thanks

What Mac? What version of Lion? What else is running? What router? We can't help if we don't know more than "It doesn't work."

That doesn't really help much.

What SORT of iMac? They've been out since 1998, so there are ... a few ... different models.

Simply repeating "OS X Lion" isn't really helpful either. Go to "About this Mac" in the Apple menu and tell us EXACTLY what version of Lion is listed there (and while you're at it, how much RAM).

Have you tried power-cycling the modem (ie unplug it completely, wait for at least a full minute, plug it back in)?

Oddly enough I have a virgin router which is a netgear DG834G and when i boot up I have had no wireless and the message (no hardware installed).
Also lost wireless signal after being in sleep mode.

The sleep issue is a well documented fault with lion, i also have it as do many thousands of others. Really annoying having to turn the wireless off then back on to reconnect. Hopefully the 10.7.2 update will sort it.
